Ordinary people, with different languages and cultures, what is it that would bring us together in love and unity?
Well, all those who are members here have come to understand and believe the truth concerning the Lord Jesus!
That He died on the cross of Calvary in our place and that He rose again from the dead to give us the opportunity to receive new life!! This is expressed in the Bible, God's Holy Word, with these words..
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:16-18
When asked about the things of God, the Lord Jesus answered...
"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
What brings us together is that we have trusted the Lord Jesus to deal with our wrong doing and have asked Him to cleanse us from them. This we did by turning to Him and asking His forgiveness with sincere remorse and a desire not to live that way any longer.
We then asked Him to put His life in us and to give us His Holy Spirit that we might have the power to follow Him according to the Word of God.
"Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." John 14:23
One could ask; "How can we be sure that this is true?" We have the promise of the Lord Jesus Himself when He said...
"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out... ....And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:37,40
Each one of us had to come to the decision that either, the Lord Jesus is who He said He is and the ramifications of that fact in our lives, or He was giving mankind the biggest con trick ever seen in history!!
We have come to the decision to trust Him for ourselves, no pressure, no promises of healing, no promises of riches and wealth, just a simple acceptance of what Christ has done and making it our own, by faith on Him.
What about yourself? Have you considered the Lord Jesus and why He came to Earth?
Friend, we would ask you to try Jesus, no hard sell, just don't neglect the opportunity, you will never regret it!
"Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." Acts 2:38-39
"how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him," Hebrews 2:3
